Castle of the Dukes of Brittany
An exceptional heritage site in the heart of the medieval quarter. The last castle on the Loire before the ocean, this Breton fortress - built by François II and his daughter Anne of Brittany, Duchess and twice Queen of France - houses a residential palace with elegant façades featuring renaissance loggias.
Accredited as a Museum of France, the Nantes History Museum is located in the 15th century buildings. The museum visit spans 32 rooms with 850 collection objects and attractive, fun and educational multimedia displays.
